Answering my Call: Bottle Blond Jewelry for Kids

I don't know if i've ever mentioned this but I used to work with kids as a nanny before I became a stylist (it was my side job while I was in school). Well, as I worked, I always noticed that kid's fashion was lacking in the jewelry department. I tend to see girls wearing jewelry that is playful & fake because it is meant only for dress up and I didn't really understand why there aren't any cute brands out there with real, nice jewelry for young girls. However, I recently ran into a brand called 'Bottle Blond' at Kitson and decided to do a little more research.

Bottleblond Jewels, by designer Alex Hillson, is a truly unique line of reasonably priced, high quality handmade jewelry and hair accessories for children (ages 3 and up).

The great twist--almost every piece in the line contains hard to find, limited quantity vintage components from all over the world. Made locally in Silverlake, the line retails at just $24-38.

The great thing about this line is that you can find these pieces at some of the trendiest boutiques such as Kitson and soon to be in Fred Segal, even though it is afforable, which means its acceptably special.  Bottleblond’s products are also available in some of LA’s most upscale children’s boutiques, including Flicka, Yolk, La La Ling, Children’s Wonderland and Petit Ami.

If you are outside of Los Angeles, there are locations in Manhattan, Southampton, Miami, Denver, Chicago, and more. You can shop, browse the full collection, or find more stores by visiting the website at http://www.bottleblond.com. Also available: a Women's line, so you can shop for yourself and your daughter/sister/neice etc. at the same time.
